Christ Church takes the Baptismal Covenant as found in the Book of Common Prayer very seriously. Respecting the dignity of every human being yields a very simple response to the question: Are LGBT individuals and couples welcome at Christ Church? Yes. Without qualification.
Christ Church hosts the monthly meetings of the Mid-Hudson Valley Dignity-Integrity Chapter, on the 2nd Fridays of each month.
Our parish provides leadership in organizing the other welcoming Episcopal congregations in the area in the annual LGBT Pride Parade in New Paltz. Our Rector serves on the Diocese of New York LGBT Concerns Committee.
