Church Community and Outreach Programs

As a church and as individual members, we see ourselves as participants (not as participating) in Christ's ministry. Participation takes various forms for different members of the congregation. We minister to each other through Fellowship (coffee hour following the service, potluck dinners, parish breakfasts) and pastoral care (prayer list, pastoral visits, prayer group). Please access our Parish Life page to find out about our regular and special in-house ministry.

We also participate in Christ's Ministry as a group in our various Community Ministry Activities, listed below. For further information about any of our community outreach programs, please call the church
office or e-mail us at outreach@christchurchpok.org.

Ministries Centered at Christ Church:

  • Alcohol Recovery Advocacy Program:  This ministry provides services that will contribute to the resolution of alcohol/chemical dependency by bringing together the victim and the resource through education and awareness programs.
  • Larry B. Timm Fund:  A volunteer organization which provides emergency and ongoing financial assistance to people living with HIV infection and to people afflicted with AIDS.
