Music

The Christ Church choir is a wonderful, warm, welcoming group united in the joy of singing and dedicated to providing music for our Sunday worship service. If you are interested in singing with us, please call Laura Russell at the church office or e-mail music@christchurchpok.org. The Choir rehearses Thursday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday mornings before the 10:00 a.m. Eucharist.

11/22/08	8:00 p.m.	Kairos will join the SUNY-New Paltz Concert Choir, College-Community Chorale and Chamber Singers in concert featuring The Ecstasies Above by contemporary British composer Tarik O'Regan. The work is scored for chamber chorus and string quartet and is based on the Edgar Allen Poe poem Israfel. The concert will also feature Bach's motet Fürchte dich nicht and Beethoven's Elegischer Gesang, Op. 118.	Suggested donation $12 Click here for concert poster.

01/18/09	4:30 p.m.	Evensong Service honoring Altar Guilds from the Mid-Hudson Region of the Diocese. Region-wise Episcopal choir. Organ prelude followed by service at 5:00 p.m.	Freewill offering
01/25/09	7:30 p.m.	Interfaith Benefit Concert featuring the "Jazz Cantata" by Gretchen Gould and "Chichester Psalms" by Leonard Bernstein. Combined choirs of Shalom Singers, United Methodist Church Choir, Christ Church Choir.	Suggested donation $12 to Benefit the Rural & Migrant Ministry.
